  1. How is GridSpots different from buying an email list?
    • GridSpots never sells or shares raw email lists.
    • GridSpots sends a coordinated and shared email campaign to a combined audience of 4 non-competitive businesses. Each business maintains ownership of their own customer list. This creates trusted exposure without compromising privacy.
  2. Will I be competing with other businesses in the email campaign?
    • No. GridSpots campaigns are built around non-competing businesses.
    • Each partner offers a different product or service, so every promotion stands out instead of competing for the same sale.
  3. Do all partners share equal visibility?
    • Yes. Every partner:
      • Shares equal random visibility on the campaign landing page
      • Benefits from the combined audience reach
      • There are no “featured” or hidden placements during the campaign
    • Added SEO Value: You can choose to archive your promotion on a page optimized for local SEO which happens after campaign has expired.
  4. How large does my email list need to be?
    • We recommend a minimum of 250 active email subscribers.
    • Campaigns perform best when every partner contributes a meaningful audience, ensuring fairness and strong results for all businesses involved. The number of combined recipients for each Group is based on the smallest list provided by a single member. If one member has 250 recipients and others have more, 250 recipients will be the number each member will contribute.
  5. Who sends the email campaign?
    • GridSpots coordinates the campaign delivery to ensure consistency, compliance, and equal representation for every Group partner.
  6. Can I choose my own partners?
    • Yes. You can select partners directly, as long as the businesses are non-competing, compatible and because this is local marketing, each business must have the same city, state, and zip code.
    • Your Partner Dashboard is equipped with a Business Category Suggester and Business Search that gives you a list of non-competitive businesses allowing you to easily identify applicable partners.
    • GridSpots may review or suggest adjustments to maintain campaign quality.
  7. What if I don’t know whether a business competes with mine?
    • When in doubt, it’s best to choose a different partner or you can remove your business from the Group and create a new Group.
    • Campaigns work best when each promotion feels clearly distinct. GridSpots may step in if there’s overlap that could reduce effectiveness.
  8. Is GridSpots only for certain industries?
    • No. GridSpots is designed for consumer-facing local businesses across many categories, as long as they meet eligibility requirements. Currently there are 15 general categories.
  9. What results should I expect?
    • Results vary by offer and audience, but partners typically gain:
